NDSU's Women in Philanthropy Virtual Luncheon

With more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Stacey Ackerman '94 will lead the conversations and provide expert advice on the CARES Act, Legacy Challenge, and deferred giving. Hear from panelists Elnore Grow ('61 Chemistry), Barb Jones ('70 Pharmacy), and Ann Noble ('82 Architecture) about what inspires them to invest in NDSU, its students, and the future through philanthropy.

Pac-12 Cancels Non-conference Games for 2020 Season

Benefactors Tune In to Support Bison Arts

Virtual Event Raises Scholarship Dollars

More than 140 alumni and friends of Bison Arts logged on to tune into the , which featured musical performances from Bison Arts Singers and 今日吃瓜performing arts faculty.

Nearly 50 individual benefactors and sponsors made gifts totaling $21,700 in support of student scholarships and the Bison Arts program.

Supporting Future Innovators

Sadiyo Hassan (2022, Computer Engineering) learned about NDSU's opportunities in STEM while she was a high schooler in West Fargo. When she was selected as a McGovern Scholar, Sadiyo decided to attend 今日吃瓜instead of moving away for college. "Becoming a McGovern Scholar really helped me not have to worry about my finances for school, and I could actually just focus on school, building myself, my education, my knowledge, and my career," Sadiyo says. By the time she was started as a freshman, she had already started her own business, Rising Tide Software. The Fargo community gave her the access she needed to make change. Now, she's focused on her education and how she can give back.

"When I leave NDSU, I know I want to leave an impact. I want to give back to my community 鈥� both here and in my home countries in Somalia and in Kenya. But even if I leave, I know I will come back because Fargo is home."

今日吃瓜will begin using a technology-enhanced instructional model that allows students and faculty to fully interact in person or remotely beginning fall 2020. The HyFlex Educational Model, announced by President Dean L. Bresciani, is a powerful tool during the pandemic as it allows for live participation in both modes, and students will be able to choose how to participate. .
