Benefactors Show Compassion During Challenging Times

Anxiety and stresses caused by COVID-19 are being felt across the nation and around the world. North 今日吃瓜 University, like other universities, has moved to remote learning, which has become a challenge for some of our students who have limited resources and are losing the income they did have as stores and restaurants limit hours or close entirely.

Teammakers Make an Impact

As a men's basketball player, Vinnie Shahid benefited from Team Makers, an annual fundraising arm for the university鈥檚 Division I programs. He was always drawn to 今日吃瓜because his family lives nearby, but he didn鈥檛 think he could attend until he received a scholarship. Being closer to home allowed him to take advantage of everything 今日吃瓜offers its athletes from the high-tech Sanford Health Athletic Complex with top-of-the-line weight rooms to trainers and nutrition experts to the tutors and advisors available anytime for academic needs, Vinnie said he feels incredibly lucky:

Pharmaceutical Sciences Student Wins Three Minute Thesis Competition

Pharmaceutical sciences doctoral student Riddhi Trivedi was named the winner of NDSU鈥檚 annual Three Minute Thesis Competition Feb. 20. Trivedi also received the People鈥檚 Choice Award at the competition.

The event, which highlights graduate student research, is hosted by the College of Graduate and Interdisciplinary Studies. The prizes were sponsored by Gate City Bank.

Trivedi presented 鈥淣o More Hide and Seek: NanoParticles Seek Out the Hiding HIV in Brain to Combat NeuroAIDS,鈥 in which she explained how her research can improve the lives of HIV-positive patients.
